The year of 2014 will bring many blessings to our family, I'm sure, but one of the greatest will be the arrival of baby Aiden. Susie, Drew's sister is expecting her first baby with her husband Chris, and as such, we are expecting our first nephew. We're pretty excited about another little boy to play with, and the boys are already brewing ideas about how much fun it will be to have baby Aiden around.
While we were in Milwaukee Susie came up for the week. She's due on her birthday, March 16, so that made her about 29 weeks along or so (6.5 months along, I think). She's a pretty adorable momma, and so we decided a shower was in order to celebrate Aiden's arrival.
The shower was lots of fun to put together, mostly because I got to play with tons of baby stuff. I decided on a "mustache bash" theme and we filled her grandma's house with 25 or so of her nearest and dearest family members.
The results was lots of eating, laughing and general excitement about the next baby. Its been a few years, so we're all brimming for a new bundle to cuddle and rock and coo at. And of course, gifts too. Lots of fantastic love showered in over many baby essentials.
